Prioritise your Employee Engagement Strategy

Remote working is no longer the exception but rather the rule. Businesses now more than ever need to redevelop their employee engagement strategy. Regular online social events can help prevent employees feeling isolated and disengaged.

2020 has been the year for sudden and widespread remote working, most notably office-based businesses. The remote working model was at first seen as a short-term requirement but for many it has become the norm and will most likely remain the norm for many months or even years to come.

The sudden shift to “working-from-home" or lack of planning for same has presented many challenges.

There were the obvious practical challenges like relocating office equipment, cyber security, phone systems etc. but many have overlooked the unforeseen social and company cultural challenges that remote working has brought about.

The water cooler chats, hallway coffees and after work drinks are no longer possible.

recent national survey of 5,500 respondents, carried out by Western Development Commission and NUIG, has sited that the top two challenges faced by people working remotely are

1. Loneliness/isolation

2. Staying motivated

The top recurring theme relates to the loss of the social aspect of work. Remote workers are missing the human interaction that happens when working onsite and being physically present with colleagues and customers.

In the early days of this pandemic the quick – fix to tackle these challenges were for companies to arrange their own in-house virtual coffee breaks or DIY quizzes but for many the novelty dissipated. These internal events were more of a plaster than a cure.

People thought that things might get back to business as normal after the first lockdown but, we could be facing a rollercoaster of lockdowns until an immunisation programme is rolled out.

Companies now need a longer-term well-being strategy to include more meaningful and polished online event solutions.

Dynamic Events have created and are delivering a series of solutions that use smart technology and years of experience in employee engagement to provide online events that provide maximum engagement.

Our technology and the way of delivering these events has proved itself over a short period of time.

There are significant advantages to choosing professionals over the DIY solutions. Our experience of delivering over 200 online events to some of the world's biggest organisations since April is top of the list and then our technology allows for team collaboration, live gameplay, creative team challenges and the flexibility to provide custom made events

We are also part of the Wildgoose Global Licensing Network of 30+ countries across all continents whom we have worked together since March to develop out these technologies and solutions.

Whether your goal is to provide an outlet for a pure entertaining online social experience, like our Disco Bingo Online, or something that’s more focused on improving collaboration online between team members while they are working apart, like our Mission to Mars, or something that falls somewhere in the middle, like our Virtual Away Day, we have a solution for you.

Online social events should become a priority rather than a cost centre. Once they’re done right the return on investment will be measured by the positive impact on your employee's well-being. Something that should never be overlooked.
