Digital Escape Rooms for Deutsche Telekom
The ultimate online collaboration game to help DT colleagues understand the key basics around a new EU strategy while having a lot of fun.
Brief
We were approached by the Transformation team at Deutsche Telekom to create a learning game that is tied to the company's new European strategy. They wanted to combine digital learning with fun.
The game would need to be open to players from 11 countries and capable of taking up to 3,000 people. This was to be a fully customised game complete with personalised challenges and branding specific to Deutsche Telekom. It also had to be competitive and fun.

Solution
We created a totally new learning experience called the DT EU Digital Escape Rooms.
In addition to achieving all of the above prerequisites we also brought in our web development partner, Agency X, to create a customised registration, website and booking platform to compliment the project. We took inspiration from a previous project called Campaign X.
Once registration was complete, players were assigned into international teams. Their quest consisted of an 8 week learning journey played out over 4 different levels. The learning elements and different challenges needed to be solved in order to progress to the next level. The challenges were created to test team work and creativity. The gamification element helped leverage the key messages around strategy.
Result
Playing in teams, the different escape rooms acted as playful check-in points to see if the teams fulfilled the requested learning elements. The online escape rooms include intelligent scenarios and challenges, designed to create the necessary chemistry between the members of each group.
The overall experience achieved a 4.4/5 customer satisfaction rating from the players that took part and an employee NPS of 64.7 which was commented as being "remarkable" and was the highest score ever achieved for a Deutsche Telekom employee engagement programme..
