Wayfair Halloween Hunt
2 week halloween-themed employee engagement to promote exercise, teamwork, creativity and fun!
Wayfair Halloween Hunt was a 2 week employee wellbeing and engagement programme we designed, developed and delivered to over 320 Wayfair employees. The idea behind the campaign was to connect their employees while they were working apart using competitive and fun halloween-themed challenges on a weekly basis.
We set up an online registration system using our marketing technology to allow captains sign their team up for the challenge. We then were able to use the registration information to contact all team members with updates during the challenge. Approximately 323 participants received the sign in code to join the challenge on our award winning app.
Every second day a solo challenge and a team challenge were released to the participants. They completed the solo challenges by themselves and for the team challenge they either met up in person or jumped on a video call to complete the challenge. As well as the individual and team challenges, there was 3 'Anytime' challenges which were released from the start of the game and could be completed at any stage over the 2 weeks. These 'Anytime' challenges encouraged participants to get out and visit local water fronts, famous statues and a famous castle!
All photos and videos submitted through our app were carefully reviewed and scored based on creativity and humour. Players were given extra points for sharing their photos/videos to social media through the app using the hashtags #WayfairEUServicesHalloweenHunt #WayfairAtWork.
Over the duration of the event we received 1,059 pieces of content. The competitive element helped drive participation and engagement with the 323 participants split into 51 teams. We finished the event with an amazing wrap up video of all the best bits.
